What great pics of the Knapp house. It is how I remember it as a
young child playing on that staircase in the mid-40's. The
caretakers, Mamie and Arthur Waterman, were good friends of my
parents so I went over there frequently. But the best part was
seeing my grandfather's (Moody Wright Waterfield) car parked next
to the barn. On Saturday morning's I would wait on the Methodist
Church steps for him to come by and go with him to Mackay Island
riding in that car. He was employed by the Knapps.
