December 26, 2013 Knotts Island - Betty Jones Capps, 75 died December 17, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Capps was born in Knotts Island on Jan. 10, 1938 to the late Herman Guy Jones, Jr. and Virginia Dare White Jones. She enjoyed bowling and above all caring for her family. Mrs. Capps was predeceased by her husband, Reginald Capps and two sons, Ken Thompson, Jr. and Herbert L. Thompson. Left to cherish her memory are children, Wayne Allen Thompson, Belinda Jo Buck, Lorie Ann Masters, and Elaine March, all of FL; brother, Gary Jones of Knotts Island; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
