This old house is inaccessible to the public and is located far
away from any roads on private property. My interest is
determining the age of the structure. Note how part of it was put
together, the still nice large panels of wood. Old doors &
hardware. If anyone with any expertise can tell, let us know when
this structure might have been built.
October 9, 2012 From Jimmy Cason. My Dad refered to this house as the "Lee Rube" place.
August 6, 2013. Jane Brumley. This house was burned by the
KIVFD. It was located in the area of Raccoon Drive. I can remember
that a young Alton Smith lived there for a time and later moved to
Norfolk where he delivered telegrams while riding a bicycle. His
mother was Beulah.
From Wanda Romm. Beulah Smith and her son was Alton Smith. Beulah
had a brother, Aaron, and their mother was Miss Bette. The house
was across from the new firestation. They all moved to an
apartment In Norfolk after Miss Bette died.
