Here are a few knots that you
will need in your work aboard a tugboat. There are many more that
would be helpful but we limited the selection to the most versatile and
the ones that will perform the work needed for most jobs aboard a tug.
Just a bit of trivia- You
make a knot. You don't tie a knot. Tying is reserved for tying
things down and tying vessels up. "I made a strong knot when I tied
that chain to the deck."
