Over the years, many people have taken care of the Baptist Church. Here are photographs of some of them. |
This is a 1939 picture from Jane
Brumley of John Levy Miller and his wife, Mary Pat Bowden, in front
of the Knotts Island Baptist Church. They are her paternal
grandparents and were the caretakers of the church for many years.
This shows the front of the church before the little vestibule was
built. Pat's mother was Sarah Anne Ansell who was a charter member
of KIBC and later married Jesse Bowden.
Here is a picture of Royal "Hutch" Hutchinson and unidentified others working at grounds maintenance in 1987.
