The Great Marsh Loop

Along the Marsh Causeway Road on the Mackay Island Wildlife Refuge is a .3 mile trail that loops around a large marsh pond.  It's situated on the right side of the road as you are about to get onto Knotts Island.

Here is the sign that will show you to some information and point you to the trail.

This is what it looks like as you walk the trail.  If you're quiet, you can sneak up on birds, turtles, and sometimes mammals like nutria and otters.  But you have to be quiet.  The animals know that people frequent this small spot.
